Underground Art Lisbon

Contemporary art has been incorporated into most metro stations in Portugal. As in Moscow, each station in Lisbon has a different theme.The architect responsible for the explosion of color at Olaias Station is Tomás Taveira, who worked hand-in-hand with Portuguese artists Pedro Cabrita Reis, Rui Sanches, Graça Pereira Coutinho, and Pedro Calapez. Many tourists have described this station as the most beautiful they have ever seen.
