Cloned foods 5

Udderly Incredible
Milk

The dairy industry isn't particularly happy that milk from cloned animals has been given the green light. A survey conducted last summer by the International Dairy Foods Assn., an industry trade group, found that 14% of women would turn away from all dairy products if milk from clones was introduced into the food supply. But farmers and agriculture experts are excited about the potential. Brady Hicks, cattle research specialist at agricultural giant J.R. Simplot, says that artificial insemination for dairy cows allowed an increase in the productivity for the average dairy cow to 20,000 pounds of milk a year, from 10,000 pounds in the 1970s. He believes that cloning could help double milk production for each cow again. Milk derived from cloned cows probably won't hit the market for at least four and a half years, or in 2011.

Are you SERIOUS?? Milk from cloned animals... no you're joking. There are no cloned animals in vast numbers. And no way would this be allowed in the UK. Let alone the EU. Remember the EU won't let American soya in bc THAT is GM. Let alone CLONED ANIMALS ... come on!!

Well I keep a blog too: gledwood2.blogspot.com. It's very different from yours & you're welcome to drop by. Please say hello if you do & tell me the truth about this cloning bc I'm fascinated to hear. You can join our ANNA NICOLE SMITH debate as well...

Take care now
